Channel UK Events CIC

Here at Channel Events our aim is to run engaging and accessible lifestyle events that drive lifelong, self-led participation in physical activity in the outdoors. We are driven by the belief and research that regular physical activity in the outdoor environment has massive physical and mental health benefits. We deliver outdoor events, not only because they are an awesome thing for you to participate in but because it is about much more than just event day, it’s a lifestyle choice. Setting yourself a goal which then leads to regular physical activity, enjoying the outdoors, joining clubs, meeting new people and training for the event makes positive changes in peoples lives. From the moment you enter one of our events you’ve made a lifestyle choice and what a great choice you’ve made, we look forward to seeing you on the start line!

Channel UK Events CIC is a Community Interest Company (CIC) incorporated in October 2018 – A community interest company is a business with primary social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community. Channel Events has always been and will continue to be not-for-profit, firstly as a project of Channel Adventure and now as its own entity.

Dan Brice heads up Channel Events and is completely passionate about every event we organise and deliver. Dan came to the Channel Group 3 years ago bringing the successful Quantock Quake with him, this event is now the finale of The Triple! Through Dan’s passion and drive we are delighted to have incorporated Channel Events as a CIC and look forward to the trail ahead!

Our events could not happen without the amazing support of our Volunteer Tribe! We are very grateful to every single one of them for donating their time to help us deliver fantastic events for you. We do of course look after them as best we can with social events, merchandise, breakfast and drinks on event days. Interested in giving something back to a sport you love, or just have some free time? We are always looking for more volunteers to join the tribe!

Be a warrior by entering an event, become one of the tribe or both!

We’d love to meet you

A friendly young girl with a rare, life-limiting disease that weakens her muscles, heart and lungs.

Carmela visited with her mum Lucy, who said: “We knew Carmela’s condition would be catered for at the centre so we didn’t have any reservations about taking part in every activity. Carmela took part in abseiling, in which she was strapped to a wheelchair and couldn’t stop laughing at me screaming with fear, she thought it was highly hilarious.

It was a brilliant weekend, all staff were fantastic and Carmela enjoyed every moment. She already wants to come back. It really is a place which caters for ALL disabilities, young and old, mobile or immobile. A place for all the family to participate without leaving someone out.”

Student testimonials

“Pole has improved my confidence and overall strength so much, it’s often the highlight of my week getting to see Beth and all my lovely friends at StudioB! If you’re thinking of trying pole I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone no matter your current level of fitness, it really is open for everyone and I love the completely positive atmosphere that Beth has created”

“I’ve only been going to pole for a few months but I’m already noticing a big difference in several areas of my life! My back pain is improving after an injury, I feel stronger and more confident and it’s been great for my mental health too. Walking in the door at my first class was a bit daunting but I soon realised I had nothing to worry about – Beth and the other students are so lovely and encouraging (especially when I couldn’t get my feet off the ground in my first lesson!) and made me feel welcome straight away. I’m fully addicted to pole and the feeling of slowly getting better with each class!”
